Cawl card payment in Shopware
Offer card payment with Cawl in your shop. The journey combines a provider-hosted form with transaction tracking in Shopware.
Enter card details in the provider’s form
The Cawl form loads within the payment journey. It supplies a card-entry identifier that the shop checks before continuing processing.
If the payment requires strong authentication, the customer completes 3-D Secure verification and then returns to the shop.
Reconcile the payment with the order
The customer’s return and server notifications have distinct roles. Notifications are checked and linked to the relevant transaction to process authorisation and capture.
Amount and status checks govern this processing. A browser return alone must not be interpreted as proof of final payment capture.
Validate the contract and return journeys
Activation requires a Cawl contract, access to the chosen environment and notification configuration. Teams must test acceptance, refusal, abandonment and the return after authentication.
Form availability and payment outcomes depend on the provider. The hosted form does not, on its own, attest to the shop’s compliance.
