Consent traceability in Shopware
FroggShop logs received consent choices to help teams examine their history. This provides diagnostic evidence, separate from checking which cookies are actually used.
Find submitted choices
The log associates the received configuration with a timestamp and an identifier. An anonymous visitor is tracked within their session; a signed-in customer is identified by their account.
When an anonymous identifier is still present at sign-in, it can be retained with the customer log to provide context.
Use the log in an investigation
Support can compare available information with a request about cookie preferences. Log destinations and access depend on the installation.
A recorded choice describes data received by the server. On its own, it does not prove that all scripts respected that choice, or that the history is complete or tamper-proof.
Define retention and access
Project owners must set the retention period, authorised users and handling of requests concerning this data.
Acceptance testing must cover anonymous choices, choices after sign-in and transmission failures. The presence of a log alone establishes no level of legal compliance.
