Dedicated administration domain in Shopware

Administration can use a domain separate from the public store. This separation gives internal teams a dedicated address and allows routing tailored to their uses.

Distinguish internal and public access

The mechanism compares the requested domain with administration and administrative API paths. Combinations that do not match the intended domain are rejected, except for configured exceptions.

Separation therefore also covers administrative exchanges, not just the login page address.

Coordinate application and hosting

The administration domain, hosting routing and allowed paths must be defined together. Tools and integrations accessing administration must use the correct destination.

Acceptance tests check access from the intended domain and behaviour from the public domain.

Retain other access controls

A separate domain does not replace authentication, permissions, network protection or component maintenance.

The level of protection depends on the architecture actually deployed. This capability is not a guarantee of administration security.
