Open-source search and merchandising with Gally in Shopware
Use an open-source search and merchandising engine controlled by the merchant. FroggShop integrates **Gally**, Smile’s open-source search engine, through its Shopware connector; Gally is enabled as an option, project by project.
Index the catalogue in Gally
Once Gally is enabled, the Shopware connector indexes the catalogue in Gally, which handles search and result ranking. The merchant can then manage result merchandising in an open-source tool.
Enable Gally without risk to the project
Activation and deactivation are explicit and have no impact on a project that does not use Gally. If activation fails, the shop returns to native Shopware behaviour; deactivation restores native search without deleting Gally data.
Frame the go-live
Hosting of the Gally services, the chosen edition, open source or Premium, and relevance and merchandising rules are to be defined. Acceptance testing precedes going live.
