Manage redirects for an e-commerce redesign in Shopware
Keep a useful destination for links that predate a redesign. FroggShop looks up saved mappings and redirects visitors to the intended page when an active rule applies.
Prepare URL mappings
Each mapping links an old URL to an internal or external destination and a redirect code. Rules can be general or tied to a sales channel; the old URLs to preserve must be listed.
Import rules in bulk
A structured file import lets you prepare redirects without entering them one by one. Destinations, codes and activation states must be validated before import, then checked on the actual pages.
Check priority links after switchover
Acceptance testing must cover important URLs, any parameters, removed destinations and redirect chains or loops. Legacy redirects can be processed before rules specific to a catalogue page.
The feature does not automatically discover every old URL. The inventory and the quality of the mappings determine continuity of navigation.
