Build configurable product bundles in Shopware
Sell a complete bundle without forcing one model. Customers select products from the merchant’s choice groups; the parent product keeps the bundle’s fixed price.
Create a composable bundle
The merchant creates choice groups and selects the products available in each group. A bundle can combine a phone, a case and a screen protector, or a helmet, gloves and a jacket.
Every choice group is mandatory in the current scope. An included product, added outside a group, is present in every bundle and cannot be removed by the customer.
Let customers choose bundle products
In each group, customers select the product that suits them, then its size, colour or another variant. When they change product, the configurator tries to retain options already selected if a matching available variant exists.
The shop checks that every choice belongs to the bundle, is visible and can be purchased. An incomplete bundle or one altered in the browser cannot be added to the basket.
Keep a fixed price and the order detail
The parent product currently carries the bundle’s fixed price. Prices of selected products are neither added together nor automatically increased according to the choice made.
In the basket, the parent remains the main line. Selected products appear as child lines with no price and the quantity set by the merchant: for example 1 bed base, 1 mattress and 2 pillows.
Check bundle stock before selling
Before adding to the basket, the configurator checks that every product and variant in the bundle is available. Bundle stock can be managed directly or calculated from bundle products, based on their quantities and the first product to run out.
When the order is placed, stock is decremented for selected products. Stock reservation, concurrent access and variable pricing remain to be defined for the project.
Bundles that tell a complete offer story
To equip a new smartphone, customers start with their phone, choose a case that suits them and add a screen protector. They leave with a ready-to-use set, without having to search for every accessory separately.
To prepare for a motorcycle ride, they compose an outfit with a helmet, gloves and a jacket. To furnish a bedroom, the same principle brings together a bed base, mattress and pillows while respecting required quantities.
What FroggShop adds to Shopware
FroggShop structures a bundle around a parent product, choice groups and child lines in the basket. The project can present a composed offer while controlling customer choices and the products actually ordered.
The scope retains the parent product’s fixed price and checks component availability before adding to the basket. Variable pricing, surcharges, stock reservation and optional groups remain to be defined separately.
