Product logistics information: keep a secondary reference in Shopware
Your operations may identify an item using a different reference from the catalogue. FroggShop adds a secondary logistics SKU: a stock identifier associated with the product.
Keep two references without confusing them
The logistics SKU supplements the main product reference without replacing it. It is optional and can be entered on the product record in the administration.
This reference identifies the item for operations; it does not replace a warehouse management system.
Find and exchange the reference
The administration API exposes the data to authorised integrations. Provision is made to synchronise this secondary reference to Alfred.
When OpenSearch administration search is enabled and indexed, an exact SKU search can find the corresponding product or variant.
Prepare identification rules
SKUs must comply with the product model’s uniqueness constraints. Existing references and their update source need to be checked before import.
The presence of the field does not establish support for another logistics tool: its mappings and access require a defined integration.
